Pet Appreciation Week: 7 Simple Ways to Show Your Pet Just How Much You Love Them
Every week is pet appreciation week if you ask me. But since there’s officially a time on the calendar to show our furry friends some extra love, we’re making the most of it.
Whether you’ve got a cuddly cat, a zoomie-prone pup, or a snack-obsessed senior pet, here are 7 simple and meaningful ways to celebrate them this week and every week after that.
1. Level up treat time
You know how excited your pet gets when they hear the treat bag crinkle? That’s not just hunger, it’s happiness. This week, treat them to something special. Our Salmon Puffs, Chicken Chips, and Peanutty Paws are all made with 7 ingredients or less and packed with flavor they actually want. (Picky pets approved.)
2. Go for an extra walk or two
Even if you’re busy, taking 10 extra minutes for a longer walk or a new route can make a big difference. Sniffing new smells is a big mental workout for dogs and you might enjoy it too.
3. Upgrade their accessories
Swap their old tennis ball for a fresh one. Try a new slow feeder bowl. Or snag one of our cute accessories. Little changes can make treat time or playtime even more fun.
4. Schedule a vet visit
Okay, not the most exciting way to celebrate, but real love means making sure they’re healthy. Preventative care goes a long way toward giving your pet the long, happy life they deserve.
5. Teach a new trick or reinforce an old one
Training sessions are a fun way to bond and keep your pet’s brain sharp. And if treats are involved? You’ve got their attention.
6. Give them your undivided attention
No phones. No distractions. Just you and your pet. Whether it’s cuddle time on the couch or a quick backyard hang, quality time goes a long way in their eyes.
7. Donate or volunteer in their honor
Pay it forward. Donate treats or supplies to a local shelter. Volunteer at an adoption event. Share your pet’s story on social media and inspire others to adopt or foster.
